Demolition of Overpass (Infrastructure)
Here, we assisted the general contractor with the demolition of a two-lane overpass crossing the heavily active TransCanada Hwy# 1. The initial deconstruction was completed over 2 nights and involved staging lane closures to redirect traffic from the work zone while maintaining bi-directional traffic flow through the area. The highway surface was protected from damages and cleaned for reopening within one shift each night. Final concrete processing was completed in the median, allowing for normal traffic flow on both sides for the duration of the demolition.
